- The General Manager is responsible for the overall leadership and management of the golf club. This includes overseeing daily operations, driving financial performance, and ensuring an exceptional member and guest experience. - Responsibilities

1. Leadership & Staff Management
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a diverse team of department heads and staff across Golf
Operations, Food & Beverage, Maintenance, and other areas
- Cultivate a positive workplace culture that emphasizes collaboration, accountability, and adherence to the highest standards of service excellence.
- Implement structured performance management practices, including regular evaluations, constructive feedback, and tailored training programs to support professional growth and operational success.
2. Financial Management
- Develop and manage annual budgets for all departments, ensuring timely preparation and presentation to ownership for review and approval.
- Monitor and analyze revenue streams, including green fees, memberships, tournaments, and food & beverage operations, to maximize growth opportunities.
- Implement effective expense controls and operational efficiencies to optimize profitability while maintaining service excellence and facility standards.
3. Operations Oversight
- Oversee and coordinate daily operations of the golf course, clubhouse, and all amenities to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Maintain exceptional standards for course conditions, facility presentation, and overall cleanliness, reflecting the club’s commitment to quality.
- Collaborate with department leaders to design and implement a comprehensive calendar of tournaments, events, and member activities that enhance engagement and satisfaction.
4. Customer Service & Member Relations
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with members and guests, fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment.
- Address concerns and resolve issues promptly and fairly, ensuring positive outcomes and reinforcing trust.
- Uphold and enforce club policies and rules consistently to maintain standards and protect the integrity of the member experience.
- Design and implement initiatives that enhance member satisfaction, strengthen retention, and add value to membership.
- Promote active participation and pride of membership through clear communication, engagement strategies, and community-building activities.
5. Compliance & Safety
- Ensure full compliance with all applicable legal, regulatory, and industry requirements governing golf club operations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date licensing and insurance to safeguard the club’s assets and reputation.
- Develop, implement, and monitor risk management procedures to proactively identify potential issues and mitigate operational, financial, and safety risks.
6. Reporting
- Provide regular reports to ownership or board on financial performance, operations and strategic initiatives.
- Qualifications

- Minimum 5 years of management experience in the golf or hospitality industry.
- Post-secondary degree in business administration or a golf-related program.
- Demonstrated leadership and team development skills with a track record of motivating staff.
- Solid understanding of golf operations and turf management best practices.
- Proficiency in budgeting, financial analysis, and POS systems.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

- $100,000 - $120,000, based on experience and qualifications.
