The Wainwright Golf Club is an 18-hole golf course located in Wainwright, Alberta. We welcome both members and the public, offering a well-maintained course, clubhouse, pro shop, food and beverage services, tournaments, leagues, and year-round golf with indoor simulators.

- Job Summary
- The Head Golf Professional is responsible for the overall management of golf operations and reports directly to the Board of Directors. The successful candidate will be an energetic leader with strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills. Previous golf industry experience is required, along with the flexibility to work weekends and holidays during the golf season.
- Responsibilities

- Oversee all golf operations, including tournaments, leagues, tee sheet management, driving range, golf cart fleet, and player services.
- Recruit, train, schedule, supervise, and evaluate golf operations staff.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and foster positive relationships with members and guests.
- Manage inventory, merchandising, and retail sales in the Pro Shop.
- Assist with budgeting, expense control, and achieving operational goals.
- Work closely with the Superintendent and Clubhouse Manager to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Organize and promote tournaments, leagues, clinics, and junior golf programs.
- Provide golf instruction to members and guests through lessons and clinics.
- Promote the Club through marketing, website updates, and social media.
- Ensure safe work practices are followed and perform other duties as assigned.
- Qualifications

- Current PGA of Canada Professional designation.
- Previous golf operations and leadership experience.
- Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, POS systems, tee sheet software, Google Workspace, and social media.
- Compensation
-
- $55,000.00 to $85,000.00 depending on qualifications and experience
- Additional compensation may be negotiated for the successful candidate.
