Established in 1992, Carnmoney Golf Club is a member-owned Private Golf Club with 430 principal members and 630 playing members in total. We are located just south of the Calgary city limits with quick access to the core of the city. Our member elected Board of Directors works with our management team to create, and constantly update, our long-term strategic plan for the Club, built around our Vision Statement. We have a young, vibrant membership constantly looking to improve the Club.
Executive Professional, Patrick Coli is the 2021 PGA of Alberta Executive Professional of the Year. Head Professional, Dean Ingalls is the 2020 PGA of Alberta and PGA of Canada Professional and Retailer of the Year. Director of Clubhouse Operations and Membership Ambassador, Tiffany Gordon is the 2003 PGA of Alberta and PGA of Canada Head Professional of the Year and our incoming President of the PGA of Canada. Associate Professional Bryce Halverson is the 2024 Class ‘A’ Professional of the Year & 2020 Apprentice Professional of the Year. Course Superintendent, Cameron Kusiek, is the Past President of the Alberta Golf Course Superintendents Association. Our Management Team is progressive, enthusiastic, and have a keen desire to offer the best possible member experience at our Club with industry leading practices.

- Job Summary
- As a leader within our Golf Operations Team and reporting to the Head Professional, the Apprentice Golf Professional help lead and manage our Golf Operation with positivity and enthusiasm. The successful candidate will be personable, professional, have a strong business acumen, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will fit in with our culture, will help develop and mentor the Golf Operations staff, and will ensure the highest service standards to provide an exceptional member and guest experience.
- Responsibilities

- Lead by example by taking a proactive position on all issues concerning the operation of the golf course; setting the benchmark of performance in innovation, motivation, and animation for the Golf Operation’s team and the operation of the Club owned Golf Shop.
- Lead the Golf Operation’s strong team of Golf Professionals, golf shop and back shop staff through effective performance management to recognize, motivate, improve, and maintain employee performance, productivity and growth.
- Assist with the selection of hiring for key positions including interviewing, hiring and training, and mentoring these individuals to enhance their growth and performance.
- Enthusiastically promote the game of golf and excellence in every member and guest interaction.
- Efficiently assist with all golf activities, including member events and tournaments, leagues, scoring systems (Golf Genius), practice range facility, tee time reservation program (JONAS), back shop and cart operations.
- Effectively assist with golf shop inventory by implementing and adhering to best practices in ordering, receiving, controls and merchandising.
- Work cohesively with the Carnmoney Management Team to ensure our overall objective to deliver a high-quality golf experience.
- Work with the various Committees at the Club to oversee golf events and all golf related activities.
- Promote memberships, corporate golf and special functions as needed.
- Annually participate in external events and conferences to enhance and continually develop skills.
- Be an active member of our Association and serve as a positive ambassador of Carnmoney within the industry and local community.

- Qualifications

- Must be a PGA of Canada Class ‘A’ or Apprentice Professional and Association member in good standing, with the capability of playing at a high level.
- Visionary leadership skills, ability to garner respect and represent the Club with pride in support of our image, culture, and traditions. • Ability to tactfully enforce and manage the golf guidelines of the Club.
- Leadership skills and the ability to work with a Golf Club management team to meet yearly goals.
- Demonstrate creative thinking and problem-solving skills with the vision to elevate the member experience at Carnmoney.
- Consider themselves a lifelong learner and someone who prioritizes professional development.
- Currently enrolled in or previously completed post-secondary education is considered an asset.
- Compensation

$3500-3800 per month (7-8 months)
The compensation package will match the experience and skills of the successful candidate. Compensation will consist of a competitive base salary along with additional benefits. The compensation and benefits will be discussed fully with the finalist candidates.
