Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced, passionate, and highly motivated Director of Instruction to lead and grow our Golf Academy. This senior leadership role is responsible for delivering elite-level instruction, mentoring and developing coaches, and creating innovative programs that drive player improvement, academy reputation, and revenue growth. The ideal candidate is a proven teacher, strong leader, and effective communicator with a modern approach to coaching, player development, and program design.
Responsibilities

Lead all instructional programs, including:

  • Private lessons
  • Group clinics
  • Junior development programs
  • High-performance and competitive coaching
  • Develop and implement a clear teaching philosophy aligned with modern golf instruction principles
  • Manage, mentor, and evaluate academy instructors and coaches
  • Oversee structured player development pathways for juniors, amateurs, and competitive players
  • Oversee lesson programming, pricing strategies, and instructional revenue growth
  • Utilize modern teaching technology (launch monitors, video analysis, performance data) to enhance instruction
  • Build strong relationships with members, students, and facility management
  • Represent the academy at events, tournaments, and PGA-related functions
  • Contribute to marketing initiatives, content creation, and overall academy brand development
Qualifications
  • PGA of Canada Class “A” Member (preferred)
  • Minimum 5+ years of professional golf instruction experience
  • Proven track record of player development and coaching success
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience managing or leading an instructional team preferred
  • Comfortable using modern coaching technology (launch monitors, video systems, performance analytics)
  • Excellent communication skills with golfers of all skill levels
  • Passion for growing the game and building long-term player relationships
Compensation
  • Salary: $55,000 – $60,000 per year + Teaching Revenue
  • The estimated teaching revenues would be 40K+ with either a 70/30 or 80/20 split, depending on experience.
  • The DOI would be encouraged to coach and sustain a competitive book of students.
