Job Summary

The Golf Professional will play an integral role in delivering an exceptional golf experience for members and guests by providing outstanding customer service and fostering a welcoming, inclusive environment. This position involves assisting with lessons, clinics, and workshops for players of all skill levels, with a strong focus on supporting the Club’s Junior Program. The Golf Professional will also contribute to the coordination and execution of tournaments and special events, while supporting daily golf operations such as tee time management and on-course player assistance.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong knowledge of golf rules, etiquette, and industry trends, and will collaborate closely with the Head Golf Professional to enhance the overall golf experience and support club revenue goals. A commitment to continuous personal development, instructional excellence, and community engagement is essential to success in this role.

Responsibilities
  • Provide outstanding customer service to all members and guests, creating a welcoming and enjoyable golf environment.
  • Assist in organizing and conducting golf lessons, clinics, and workshops for players of all skill levels.
    • Will play a major role in the Club’s Junior Program
  • Assist in coordinating and executing golf tournaments, and special events.
  • Participate in golf course operations, including tee time management and player assistance on the course.
  • Maintain a strong knowledge of golf rules, etiquette, and trends to provide accurate information and guidance to players.
  • Collaborate with the Head Golf Professional to enhance the overall golf experience and achieve club revenue goals.
  • Continuously develop personal golf skills and teaching techniques to provide the highest level of instruction to players.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive golf community by engaging with members, guests, and staff in a professional and friendly manner.
Qualifications
  • PGA Professional in good standing o Apprentices and Class A members will be considered.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with players of all ages and skill levels.
  • Ability to provide quality golf instruction and player development.
    • Experience running a junior golf program is an asset.
  • Proven track record of exceptional customer service in a golf setting.
  • Knowledge of golf equipment, retail operations, and merchandising.
  • Familiarity with golf tournament organization and management.
  • Proficiency in golf-related technology and software.
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Passion for the game of golf and a genuine desire to share that passion with others.
Compensation
  • Base salary between $45,000 - $50,000.
    • Opportunities to play and teach “on shift.”
  • Incentive Potential – Based on targets and agreed upon KPI.
  • Estimated Teaching Revenues in 1st year $10,000 - $15,000.
  • Medical and dental benefits etc. (additional health spending account provided).
  • RSP matching, up to 2.5% of base salary.
  • Meals provided while on shift.
  • 3 weeks of vacation to be used annually.
  • Allowances provided for:
    • Professional dues
    • Education
    • Cell phone
    • Clothing
    • Tournaments
  • Equipment Playing Package.
  • 90% of Lesson Revenue.
